Fhenix Research - FHE Privacy Computing, CoFHE, And Testnet Tasks
Fhenix has evolved from an early FHE L2 narrative into confidential DeFi infrastructure around CoFHE and Shielded Mode. Surf shows potential tasks, but no official token, TGE, snapshot, or claim rule has been published.
Overall Rating
Score: 71/100 | Tier: B | View: important FHE/privacy infrastructure to monitor, with low-cost developer-style interaction only.
Fhenix has a credible technical lane: it aims to make encrypted computation usable by EVM developers. The official docs describe Fully Homomorphic Encryption as a way to build privacy-preserving smart contracts where sensitive data remains encrypted during computation.
Official Source Check
| Item | Status | Evidence |
|---|---|---|

The CoFHE blog states that encrypted computation is live on Arbitrum Sepolia testnet. The strategic point is developer accessibility: Fhenix tries to add confidential computation to familiar EVM workflows instead of forcing builders into a completely new execution stack.
Funding
Surf records $22M total funding and pre-TGE status. The official site describes more than $22M raised, including a $15M Series A led by Hack VC and a prior $7M seed round involving Multicoin Capital, Collider Ventures, Node Capital, Bankless, Hack VC, Robot Ventures, NGC Ventures, and others.
This funding quality supports the infrastructure thesis, but it does not confirm an airdrop. If a token exists later, it may relate to computation, network security, developer usage, or FHE coprocessor economics. None of that is public yet.
Product Mechanism
FHE allows computation directly on encrypted data. For blockchains, that addresses the public-ledger problem: balances, strategies, liquidation thresholds, votes, and identity attributes do not always belong in public view.
Fhenix's CoFHE path can support private lending, confidential trading, sealed-bid auctions, private payments, dark pools, and AI agents that need encrypted state. The limiting factors are performance, fees, auditability, decryption permissions, and integration complexity.
TGE And Task Entries
| Task | Surf status | Entry | View |
|---|---|---|---|
| Token Deploy | OPEN | Shielded Mode | High priority, official-branded |
| Redact Testnet | OPEN | Redact Money | Medium-high |
| Roles | OPEN | Official community | Medium |
| Creators Program | OPEN | Official X task | Medium |
| Helium Testnet | CLOSED | get-helium.fhenix.zone | Closed |
Best action: complete one meaningful Shielded Mode or Redact flow with a real wallet, save the transaction record, and avoid mass token deployments for an unknown allocation.
Risks
| Risk | Level | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Slow FHE commercialization | Medium-high | Track real integrations |
| Token uncertainty | High | Do not write it as a confirmed airdrop |
| Task spam | Medium | Prefer real developer behavior |
| Technical complexity | Medium | Follow docs, audits, and SDK updates |
| Phishing | High | Use official domains only |
